The Music Experience is an actual brick and mortar store in Chicago where you can stop by, listen to music, relax with a magazine or just talk about the music you love (or don't love). A Music Experience is our on-line presence where you can get music news, read reviews, see videos and hear new and/or interesting music. The Music Experience and Track One Records have been featured in Billboard Magazine, Urban Network Magazine, The Network Magazine, Business '96, Rolling Out Magazaine, AFIM Magaazine and others.
The Music Experience is an outgrowth of our previous store, Track One Records and our marketing company, Right Track Entertainment. The Music Experience is the vendor for Right Track's signature event, The Experience. This event has featured Grammy nominee Will Downing (three times), Grammy winner Al Jarreau, Grammy winner George Duke, Grammy and Dove award winner CeCe Winans, Lalah Hathaway, Rahsaan Patterson, multiple Grammy winner, John Legend, new inspirational sensation Joye B Moore, Dove and Soul Train Award winner Israel and New Breed, Kindred Family Soul, Grammy nominee Heather Headley, 8 time Grammy winner and Oscar nominee Andrae Crouch, 5 time Apollo winner Lyfe Jennings and the legendary Grammy winning artist Patti Labelle.
From Track One Records to The Music Experience, award winning DJ Thomas Johnson aka 33 1/3, Paul Ray and Erik Bell have assisted Dedry Jones since 1989 to create an atmosphere of music and love for members of the South Shore community in Chicago as well as the city at large. Dedry was awarded the first Retailer Award from Frontier Marketing, the first Horizon Award from WEA Distribution for future legends in the retail industry, CUMA's Retailer Award, Urban Network's Retailer of The Year Award and Urban Networks first Most Innovative Retailer in the USA Award. Dedry also works with artists he feels will definitely impact the music industry.
